All "surveys" (= BackerKit checkout) have been sent. See Update #19 for more information, but the bottom line is please fill them out and please check spam if you don't see yours. Let us know if you have any issues.

New! D20s are available to e-book and digital hoard backers, in 1, 2, and 5 packs. The shipping outside of the US is high; we can't help that. I know some people really wanted the dice and we hope this helps. If you already checked out, just go back to the link in your email and you can still edit the survey.

Because of the quantity of a dice run, we will continue to offer D20s until they are gone, but none of the other exclusives will be available past July. (Again, here's the link to share for new backers:  https://alia-terra.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

Backer Checkout (important notes)

Hello!

BackerKit surveys (= your checkout) will be going out this week. Tomorrow (Monday), a small set will get their surveys; this is to make sure everything is working as expected. If you have an issue, please contact us via Kickstarter message or at [email protected].

If you don't receive your survey by sometime on Wednesday, then please check your spam. The email will come from BackerKit; this is correct, it's the site we're using to process checkout. And if you don't see it, please let us know.

If you pledged for any items, we do need you to complete this survey so that we know where to send them. Thank you!

You will have three primary paths available in BackerKit:

• Keep everything the same, no charges added, and just let us know where to send the stuff.
• Change your pledge level, for example if you ordered a book but you decide you'd like a hoard level, you can upgrade and be charged the difference.
• Either way, you can add new items (all the cute little boxes will be displayed like a store) - if you add more, you will be asked for payment info; the charge will go through around 01 August. (That won't be a duplicate charge.)

Notes:

• There is also a tip jar; please don't feel any pressure from this at all. It's there if someone would like to add more to support the book production and add to the artist's payment, but there's no expectation.
• If you added a hardcover upgrade in Kickstarter, your pledge at checkout will show (Hardcover Upgrade). If you didn't, but would like to upgrade, you'll be given the option.
• Remember, the books don't exist yet! Your orders won't arrive for a bit; we are aiming for December but we did cover Matt in art, so we'll keep you posted. : D

Again, please don't forward the link you receive via email. It's personalized to you. To say it another way:

• During July only, print books come with a signature card, and the campaign exclusives are available, including the hoard levels (e.g. behind-the-scenes art book) and add-on books with reduced shipping.
• After July, books will be available for pre-order, but not with a signature card or the hoards / extras. (I'll sell the D20s until they run out but none of the other items will be available.)

Hello! A few notes on moving forward, which we are so excited to be doing. (Because of you!)

Kickstarter Backers

Most importantly, if you are a Kickstarter backer of Alia Terra (and thank you!) you need to fill out the "survey" (= checkout) page you will receive from BackerKit. These will go out via email on or around 08 July. We'll send an update confirming when they're sent, so if you don't see it then, please check your spam, or check the email linked to your Kickstarter account. And let us know if you have questions or need any help at all.

In this survey, you can either:

• Keep everything the same, no additional changes or charges, and just let us know where to send the things.
• Change your pledge level and/or add items, including more D20s (when these are gone they are gone), art cards, bookmarks - also e-books and digital exclusives will now be available as add-ons). *If you add more items, your card will not be charged until early August - this will not be a duplicate charge.

You can change your order or address at the same link throughout July. These will be locked down 01 August.

New Pledges

For anyone else, the Alia Terra rewards are available now for order through BackerKit only through July. After July, the book will be available for pre-order, but not with the included signature card, not with a discounted e-book option, and not with add-ons.

We Did It!

First and most importantly - thank you, thank you, thank you. From me, from Ava, and from Matt. We are going to be able to produce a beautiful, fully-illustrated book about kindness and loving oneself. We hope you will love it!

So - what happens next?

• Over the next couple of weeks, Kickstarter will be charging your pledge and sending us all of the pledge information. This is not a duplicate charge - this is the one charge for this project.
• We will be using a site called BackerKit to get your shipping information and other details. You will receive something called a "survey" - please look for this, it's necessary to complete your order! The name can be confusing; it's not a survey like where you rate us. It's a checkout where we finalize your order and shipping address.
• Were you still thinking of adding something but didn't? You can still upgrade to any pledge level (e.g. ebook to print, book to hoard, hoard to original story or art), and you can add any of the add-ons from the campaign, plus you can add additional copies of the e-book or the digital exclusives.
• This will be the last chance for most of the campaign exclusives, such as bookmarks, art cards, and the digital exclusives, as well as for the hoards.
• This will also be the last chance for books with a signed bookplate (signature card).
• Also! If you know someone who missed the campaign, backers can still be added through BackerKit. (We'll let you know when BackerKit opens, and what the link to send is.) This period, through July, will be the absolute last chance for most of these items, including the signature card.
• If you have any issues or questions, contact us any time, here on Kickstarter messages, or to [email protected].

After BackerKit closes, we will put the book on our website for pre-order. However, the hoards will not be available and these books will not include a signature card. So now is the time to add our cool campaign exclusives; they simply will not be available again.

Then we will get to producing this book. We'll keep you updated, but for now we're hoping you'll have books in December.

Last Hours for Pledges and Extras!

Good morning from Detroit - wow, what a month it has been. Did you see we were Kickstarter's Publishing Project of the Day yesterday? (We were so excited.) We'll be back soon with more, but our focus right now is getting the word out in these last hours so we can add every bit of art to the book that we can. It is still possible to fully fund the illustrations. One person buys a watercolor painting, and we zoom ahead, or we get momentum from each e-book pledged. Or both!

If you know anyone who would like to join us today, please send them a note. We're done at 8PM Eastern, so time is left for more love and more fantasy books. : D

A few bits:

• Thank you, again, every one of you, for being here. You are so appreciated. You made this happen.
• If you were considering a different pledge, you can change it anytime before the campaign ends. You can change your pledge level, say, to one of the hoards, story treasure, or original art.
• If you'd like any more of the extras: the bookmarks, dice, and art cards can all be added à la carte in any number, as well as three queer, gentle, funny books of which we're very proud!
